And hilarity ensues. Roger Berkowitz is known for a lot of things but leaving them in stitches isn’t usually one of them. The President and CEO of Legal Sea Foods joined residents by the Fireside for a chat that was entertaining as it was enlightening (seriously, laugh-out-loud funny). With perfectly timed one-liners and video clips, Roger took us on a ride through Legal’s hysterical and controversial advertising history, his experience navigating the fish business and stories of the professor that changed him as a businessman.
With the newly opened Legal Crossing (LX) on our minds, Roger also regaled us with tales of his childhood trips to Downtown Crossing, where his love for the neighborhood began. With fond memories of downtown’s booming Filene’s era, he always kept one eye on the area, watching as it grew into the vibrant epicenter of Boston, waiting for an opportunity to arise. Enter Millennium Place. Promising a one-of-a-kind residential experience, Roger’s door to Downtown Crossing was finally opened—lucky for us.
Following the presentation, Roger fielded questions from residents and mingled in The Owner’s Lounge over hors d’oeuvres from the LX menu. Want to relive the night? Browse our photo gallery to see highlights.
