FIRESIDE CHAT WITH PHIL AARONS

In the last issue of our La Vie iPad app, aptly named “The Art Issue,” we sat down with Millennium Partners’ Phil Aarons to talk about everything from the characteristics of ‘good’ art to his vision for the art in Millennium Place and his own personal collection. Last month, it all came to life as we welcomed Phil to a La Vie Fireside Chat and a tour of our contemporary art collection.

Along with his wife Shelley Fox Aarons and expert art curator Edsel Williams, Phil joined residents in The Owner’s Lounge for an exclusive panel discussion on the art here in Millennium Place and in their vast personal collections. Beginning with Millennium Partners first property in New York, Phil recognized that the strongest relationship with any local culture is often through its art. In Boston, he and his team delved into the community in search of work that both complements the character and design of the property, and reflects the unique identity of the city itself. After a riveting presentation and Q&A about the selection process, residents mingled over drinks and hors d’oeuvres from Legal Sea Foods before taking a tour of the art adorning the ground floor of Millennium Place. Residents will also get the chance to meet the artists featured in the building in a special La Vie event later this year.
